Tenuta Il Palagio is located in Figline Valdarno, eastern side of the Chianti Classico area. The domain is owned by Trudy Styler and Gordon Sumner ( Rock Star Singer Sting) and comprise 350 hectares overlooking the Tuscan countryside, mostly dedicated to forest.

The estate has been producing wine for centuries, but was like a ruin when Sting and his wife bought it in 1999. The vineyard has been converted to bio dynamic farming under the supervision of Alan York, and consultant wine maker Paolo Caciorgna, one of the leading experts on Sangiovese.
