'Ramato' is a style of Pinot Grigio in which the grape juice, after pressing, goes through an extended maceration on the skins. Normally, white wine juice is direct press and not left in contact with the skins. This unique style of Pinot Grigio is getting extra attention these days.”Ramato” or Copper refers to the colour of the wine from a handful of hours of skin contact.
