The Borthwick family has been farming in the Wairarapa region near the Southern tip of North Island for more than 100 years. After completing his Oenology degree and Paddy established the Borthwick vineyard in 1996. Bordering the Ruamahunga River in Gladstone, Wairarapa is on stony, free draining, alluvial soil, and has a micro climate giving warm daily temperatures, cool nights and low rainfall,perfect conditions for producing distinctive, quality wines.

A perfumed, fruity, light-bodied red wine with sour cherry, red plum, cranberry and cedar notes on the nose; red berry, cherry, clove, oak and tobacco spice notes on the palate. Easy drinking, and pairs well with white or red meat dishes.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE OUT OF STOCK?

Occasionally, we might receive more orders than expected before we can update our stocks. If this happens, we will contact you with a recommendation for a replacement of the same or higher value, at no extra cost to you. Many a "new" favorite has been discovered this way :)
