Tasting Notes & Food Pairings
- The Profile: Immediately intense aromas of green apple and delicate acacia flowers on the nose open to a fresh, vibrant palate filled with crisp pear, zesty citrus, and a beautifully fine.
- Classic Pairings: A flawless match for light Italian aperitivo spreads, smoked salmon canapés, fresh seafood platters, and soft cheeses like a creamy goat's cheese or fresh mozzarella.
- Irish Favourite Pairings: An unexpected yet sensational partner for a hot classic Irish Spice Bag from the local takeaway; the sparkling wine's vibrant acidity and lively carbonation scientifically cut through the rich oils and salt, while the subtle touch of residual sugar in the "Extra Dry" style perfectly tames the fiery chili heat. It also works beautifully with a comforting chicken and ham pie, where the crisp green apple notes offer a bright, refreshing contrast to the heavy, buttery pastry and savoury cream sauce.
Awards & Accolades
- Official Awards: Gold Medal Winner at the International Wine Awards in Vienna 2022.
How the wine is made
Crafted strictly from 100% organic Glera grapes, this premium Millesimato Prosecco guarantees that the entire harvest originates from a single designated estate farmed to the highest eco-conscious standards. Following a meticulous primary fermentation of the hand-sorted fruit, the wine undergoes a secondary fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks using the traditional Martinotti-Charmat method for a period of 30 days. This slow, pressurized process allows the natural, fine bubbles to integrate beautifully with the young wine. It is finished in the "Extra Dry" style.
Why we love this producer
Dovitia Vini, the passionate family-run winery behind the BonaDea line, represents over a century of deep-rooted agricultural tradition in the Veneto region before launching their own bespoke bottles. The name BonaDea translating to "Great Mother Earth" reflects the family's core philosophy of humility and profound gratitude for the natural cycles of their land. Rather than enforcing industrial dominance over the soil, they credit the exceptional quality and abundance of their annual harvest to the sheer generosity of the terroir itself.
Sustainability & Farming Practices
The estate prioritizes safeguarding the environment through conscientious, proactive green standards:
- Certifications: Officially Certified Organic, guaranteeing that the vineyard is managed entirely without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or systemic chemical fertilizers.
- Vineyard Practices: The family maintains a biodiversity-friendly environment in the vineyard, relying entirely on natural methods to nourish the vines. Demonstrating their complete commitment to the eco-cycle, they even redesigned their packaging to feature transparent consumer guidelines for responsible recycling and minimizing waste after the bottle is enjoyed.
