Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Deep, concentrated ruby-purple with a hint of garnet at the rim, indicating a wine that has aged gracefully.

  • Aroma (Nose): Complex and sophisticated, opening with a refined bouquet of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry) and a delicate touch of red berries. Interwoven with these fruit notes are intricate layers of cedar wood, tobacco box, spice, a hint of dark chocolate, and a subtle, mineral truffle nuance typical of aged Saint-Emilion.

  • Palate: Full-bodied yet remarkably elegant and velvety, with fine, well-integrated tannins that provide structure. The palate is layered with rich black fruit, licorice, and savory mineral notes. A balanced acidity gives freshness and energy.

  • Finish: The finish is exceptionally long and persistent, leaving a lingering impression of complex spice and fruit.

Saint-Émilion’s Château Cap de Mourlin is a 14-hectare vineyard planted on rich clay soil in the centre of the appellation. Recognised as a Grand Cru Classé since 1955, the estate produces an elegant and refined wine known for its complex aromas, with delicate notes of truffle and pepper that add depth and character.

This vineyard is carefully managed according to reasoned agriculture practices. Offering a remarkable potential of 15 years and over, each bottle embodies the excellence and authenticity of the Saint-Émilion terroir.
