HISTORY
Château Arton is the address of the Haut-Armagnac appellation. This confidential terroir, destroyed by phylloxera in the 19th century, was reborn in Lectoure in1991, thanks to the Montal-Montesquiou family. Today, the 88-hectare family estate owns more than half of the AOC Haut-Armagnac vines. In Arton, the most faithful expression of the terroir is based on permaculture. From vines to wine and from wine to Armagnac, the conversion
of the vineyard to biodynamics puts life at the heart of its agriculture.
