Indulge in the pinnacle of Tuscan winemaking with the Carpineto Brunello di Montalcino. Sourced from one of the highest estates in the appellation (at 500 meters above sea level), this 100% Sangiovese Grosso is a masterclass in elegance, power, and longevity. The unique microclimate and ancient galestro soils produce a wine with vibrant acidity and a profound mineral backbone that defines the legendary Montalcino terroir.
Appearance: Deep, intense ruby red with sophisticated pomegranate and garnet highlights that emerge with age.
Aroma: A decisive and broad bouquet. Expect initial bursts of ripe cherry and wild raspberry, evolving into complex layers of vanilla, licorice, and Mediterranean herbs.
Palate: Dry, warm, and impeccably textured. The palate is struck by a "playful sweetness" of red berries and chocolate-vanilla swirl, grounded by savory leather, tobacco leaves, and earthy forest floor.
Finish: Persistent and refined, featuring a racy acidity and a long, echoing finish of spice and balsamic notes.
The bold structure and vigorous tannins of this Brunello make it a natural partner for rich, savory dishes:
Meats: T-bone steaks or braised lamb shanks.
Game: Roast venison with juniper berries or pheasant stuffed with truffles.
Cheese: Mature, hard cheeses like 36-month aged Pecorino Toscano or Parmigiano Reggiano.
Meditation: Ideally served at 18°C, it is also a magnificent "meditation wine" to be enjoyed on its own.
