Chemin De Compostelle Malbec is from the French region of Cahors. This wine is a deep dark purple, almost black color with intense aromas of black fruits like blackberry and plum, complemented by hints of spice, tobacco and earthy undertones.
On the palate it offers structured tannins balanced by a refreshing acidity, which makes it age-worthy The wine is full-bodied with flavors of ripe dark berries and chocolate.
This wine won acclaim over the centuries by becoming the nectar of Kings, Popes and Tzars. Pilgrims passing through Cahors on their way to St Jacques de Compostelle helped to spread its popularity throughout the Middle ages.
