A very Bordeaux style wine because the family vineyard is situated exactly on the border of Bergerac and Bordeaux.
Typical of the area, this red wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvgnon. You will detect aromas and flavours of blackberries, blackcurrant, plum and a hint of red fruit like cranberry or cherry.
Great on it's own. Even better with food like duck, beef steak, rich stews or burgers.

In the Dordogne area, South West of France grows a rare and beautiful purple flower grown in a rich terroir. This rich terroir gave birth to a unique wine. And it took the name of this flower… Frétillères.
They are 4th generation family winemakers with an Irish connection. Anita Ryan from Monasterevin in County Kildare married Sylvain Rigal, the latest generation of winemaker in his family. Anita plays an active part in growing the grapes and running the vineyard
