Domaine Mereuille Châteauneuf-du-Pape is intense purple in its early years, turning ruby in its prime, displaying admirable complexity. It reveals a broad aromatic palette: ripe fruits, blackcurrant, blackberries, spices, roasting, licorice, prunes, leather…
While it can be enjoyed in its youth – from around two years old – where it develop elegant fruit aromas, over the long term it reveals a more substantial tannic structure, intense and deep bouquets, and notes of undergrowth.
Each individual will appreciate Châteauneuf-du-Pape red wines at different degrees of maturity. They easily age over several decades.
