The wine is characterized by effusive aromatics and mineral structure, though supple with fruit and cool lees enrichment. Spiced apple and lime linger on the long, dry finish that is highlighted by some salty minerality.

This wine is a cross-section of various Rheingau loess and clay soils with an appealing dry character.
There are recorded documents linking the Leitz family winemaking history all the way back to 1744.
