The Chateau du Val d'Or is a classic Right Bank Bordeaux wine from the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation, celebrated for its depth, elegance, and age-worthiness. This wine is primarily Merlot-driven (91% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon) blended with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which adds structure and aromatic complexity.
On the nose it has inviting aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries and plum with layers of spices, tobacco, leather and earthy tones.
This wine is full-bodied. Expect flavors of dark fruit, alongside hints of chocolate, licorice and spices. It has a smooth finish that leaves a touch of minerality.
Domaine Régis Jouan Sancerre presents itself with a brilliant pale yellow color that shimmers in the light. The bouquet is intense and inviting, with aromas of fresh citrus, peach, green apples and subtle floral notes.
On the palate, the wine reveals a lively acidity perfectly balanced with ripe fruit, with a remarkable mineral finish that refreshes and stimulates the taste buds.
