Journey to the sunny vineyards of Stellenbosch with this fresh and easy-drinking Chenin Blanc. Tales Chenin Blanc combines ripe orchard fruits with zesty citrus and a lovely smoothness on the palate. Fresh and versatile, it’s a great choice for anyone who enjoys characterful South African white wines with plenty of flavour.

Tasting Notes & Food Pairings

The Profile:

Brimming with juicy aromas of yellow apple, white peach, and ripe pineapple, leading to a vibrant palate of lemon zest and crisp pear with a clean, mineral-driven finish.

Classic Pairings: Creamy chicken dishes, grilled sea bass, or mild goat’s cheese salads.

Irish Favourite Pairings:

  • Spice Bag (Irish Chinese Takeaway): A great match for a classic Irish takeaway night. The ripe fruit and refreshing acidity of Chenin Blanc work well with the salt, spice and chilli, while cutting through the crispy chicken and chips.
  • Warm Irish Goats’ Cheese & Beetroot Salad: The creamy tang of Irish goat’s cheese, such as Ardsallagh or St. Tola, pairs beautifully with the fresh acidity of Chenin Blanc. Its soft fruit flavours also complement the earthy sweetness of roasted beetroot.
  • Roast Irish Pork Belly with Crackling: The wine’s bright acidity helps cut through the richness of the pork belly, while its ripe apple and stone-fruit flavours make it a natural partner for the crispy crackling and sweet, savoury flavours of the dish.

How the wine is made

Sourced from the renowned, sun-soaked slopes of Stellenbosch, the grapes are harvested from old vines rooted in well-draining soils that naturally yield concentrated fruit. The fruit is carefully sorted and gently pressed before undergoing temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to protect its crisp freshness, natural acidity, and bright varietal aromatics. A short period of lees contact adds a subtle texture and weight to the mid-palate while preserving the wine's energetic, fruit-forward style.
