The Shire in the French version of the first landscape discovered in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. These large green expanses have seduced the people of Hobbits who settled there. These half-men are considered to be fine epicureans who appreciate the small pleasures of life and are also winegrowers.
With this in mind, the grapes are grown by sustainable practices in Vauclause (close to Chateauneuf du Pape) and vinified by expert winemakers in St Emilion - the Bardet family.
The bottle arrives in a specially created box with maps and stories from "Middle Earth".
A wonderfully enjoyable wine even if you are not a Lord of the Rings fan and something really special if you are.
