Grown in the hills near Lake Garda, it offers juicy red fruit flavours, gentle spice and a soft, approachable style. Versatile and food-friendly, it’s a fantastic everyday red for pasta dishes, relaxed dinners and sharing with friends.
Tasting Notes & Food Pairings
The Profile:
Bright ruby red in colour, with aromas of ripe cherries, red plums and a hint of black pepper. The palate is smooth and rounded, offering juicy berry flavours, soft tannins and a fresh finish that makes it incredibly easy to enjoy.
Classic Pairings: Mushroom risotto, roasted pork with herbs, grilled chicken, Italian cured meats and medium-aged cheeses.
Irish Favourite Pairings:
How the wine is made
Made by Cantina Castelnuovo del Garda from vineyards planted in the mineral-rich morainic soils near Lake Garda. The warm days and cooling lake breezes help the grapes ripen slowly, developing plenty of flavour while maintaining freshness. After gentle crushing, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve their vibrant fruit character before resting and bottling.
